The late Captain Russell. - Captain Bourn Russell, an old colonist, died at his daughter's residence, Coogee, on the 23rd instant, and was buried at Waverley. Captain Russell resided in the colony for upwards of 60 years, and was for 36 years harbourmaster at Bega. [Twofold Bay & Tathra ?? - ed] He was the eldest son of the late Mr. Bourn Russell, M.L.C. Mr. H. C. Russell, the Government Astronomer, was his brother, as was also Mr. Frank Russell, of Balmain. Captain Russell leaves three daughters and one son.
