Joseph Gerrard, christened 06 September 1817 in Evershot[8], a carpenter who moved to Kent and died in 1869
Residence and occupation
Apart from the evidence of the children's christenings, William paid Land Tax annually from 1820 to 1830 to the Reverend C Strangways on a house, orchard and garden in Evershot. [9]
At the census of 1841 Agnes was living in the "Common" area of Evershot with her husband and her son Thomas.[10]
Agnes was left a widow when her husband died in 1843 in Evershot.[11] She survived her husband by less than two years and was herself buried in Evershot on 14 February 1845. [12]
Research notes
Regarding Ann Russell Gerrard bp 28 Dec 1808: there is also a record of a christening of Nancy Russell Gerrard on 18 Jan 1809, just 3 weeks later: [1]. This record, however, is taken from the Dorset parish registers rather than the register of England Births and Christenings: it seems likely that Ann and Nancy are the same person.
