"Nathan was born September 2, 1718 at Reading Massachusetts, the son of Ebenezer and Deborah (Hibbard) Russell. About 1742 he married Sarah, whose last name is as yet unknown. They had children at Ellington Parish in Windsor, Connecticut between 1743 and 1758. In 1752 he was taxed for land in Ellington Parish, Windsor. His son Hezekiah was bonded as administrator of the estate of Nathan Russell of Ellington on July 1, 1799.
