About 1708 William Russell married Mary Elizabeth Bridge (1688-1716), daughter of Abigail and Matthew Bridge.

He died on 25 Nov 1731 in Lexington, Middlesex, Massachusetts and was buried there at the Old Burying Ground. ^[2]
