Jeremiah Russell was born in Cambridge, in the Province of Massachusetts Bay, on 11 Jan 1713/4.[1][2] He was the son of Walter Russell and Elizabeth Winship.
Although there is no record of an earlier marriage for Jeremiah in Cambridge, he (or someone with the same name) registered the baptisms of two sons there, at the First Congregational Church, in 1734. Neither record shows the name of the mother:
