RUSSELL, MR. BONNIE IVAN - 89 of Maynardville, passed away Fri., Feb. 9, 2001, at Baptist Hospital. He was born Feb. 1, 1912, in Williamsburg, Ky. & made his home in Harlan County, Ky. until moving to Maynardville, Tenn. in 1951. He was a member of Midway Church of God in Knoxville where he served as Deacon & taught the Adult Sunday School class for many years. He was a gold card member of Bricklayers Allied Craftsmen, Local 5.

Preceded in death by parents, Hiram Cleveland & Sarah Alice (Jones) Russell; brothers, Clarence Noble Russell, Lloyd Dewey Russell, Raymond Willard Russell, Arnold Eugene Russell, Rolland Clifford Russell, and Herbert Cleveland Russell; sisters, Leila Ruth Russell & Lena Viola Russell; infant daughter, Mona Lee Russell.

Survived by loving wife of 70 years, Trilma (Parsons) Russell; devoted sister, Cleda Pearl Allen of Indianapolis, Ind.; sons & daughters in law, Vernon (J.R.) & Berthalene Russell, Curtis & June Russell, & Rev. James T. & Frances Russell; daughters and sons in law, Bonnie & Jerry Thomas, Anita & Melvin Corum, Judye & Paul Smith, Mary and Denny Merritt, & Trilma Davis; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and many dear nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Mon., Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Maynardville with Rev. James Sparks & Rev. James Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Kent Dyer, Greg Corum, Sam Thomas, Mark Smith, Loren Davis, Jimmy Merritt, Kurt Russell, and Aaron Russell. Visitation with the family will be Sun. 6-8 p.m. at Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
