Ann was born about 1752. She passed away about 1825.
It is believed that John Pace went to Northwestern part of Brunswick County, where he met, courted, and married Ann Russell. They then resided in numerous places, such as Granville Co, NC for a period of time and then went back to Virginia and lived at their former home in Lunerburg Co until the end of the Revolutionary War. They later took their family to Spartanburg District, SC and then finally into Greenville District, SC.
Bruce Howard, author of "Our Colonial Ancestors 1619-1799," p. 179, says: "Another of the children of Francis Pace, was John Pace. He was born in Prince George County, Virginia in 1748. As a young man, he left home and went down into the Northwestern part of Brunswick County, where he met, courted and married Miss Ann Russell, daughter of Richard and Margaret Russell."
Research Notes
Brunswick County is on the border of North Carolina and is now in Virginia.
