Biography

Lynn Martin Hakes, Sr.'s first wife. They moved their wedding earlier than originally planned because he was deployed to France in WWI and she was a Red Cross nurse. It was a military wedding. Unfortunately, they only had a few days together as a married couple. Edith died in New York of influenza, and Lynn was notified a few days later in France, by a friend who was given the job to break the news. In Edith's obituary Lynn's residence was listed as "somewhere in France".
