Biography

Willie died in the Navy during World War I. His father's diary says he was buried at Rich Valley where his father was pastoring; however, his name is on his parents tombstone in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Houghton, Allegany Co., NY. I don't know if his body was moved.

Sources

  • Journal/diary of his father, JD Russell. Letter to his parents from the Navy announcing his death.
