Valentine married about 1856 to Elizabeth Leonard, daughter of Henry Leonard and Mary Moore. Elizabeth was born 28 February 1840 and died on 18 May 1891 at the age of 51 years. She is buried in the Rust Cemetery ^[2] at Mendota, Washington County, Virginia.
