Biography
When Joseph Jr. Rutledge was born in 1778 in Rowan, North Carolina, his father, JOSEPH, was 29 and his mother, ELIZABETH, was 22. He married Winnie Joslin and they had 13 children together. He then married Phoebe Gough on December 23, 1816, in Surry, North Carolina. He died in August 1859 in Tennessee having lived a long life of 81 years.
