Bridget RYAN, daughter of Matthew RYAN and Bridget UNKNOWN, was born about 1835 in County Tipperary, Ireland, United Kingdom, died on 23 July 1904 in Howe Park, Singleton, New South Wales, Australia [1] [2] [3] about age 69, and was buried on 25 July 1904 in First Catholic Cemetery, Queen Street, Singleton, New South Wales, Australia.

Bridget married Richard Venor SOUTHON, son of William SOUTHON and Ann CHARLTON, in 1858 in Newcastle (R.D.), Colony of New South Wales [4].

Richard was born in 1834 in Boxley, Kent, England, United Kingdom, was christened on 5 March 1834 in All Saints, Maidstone, Kent, England, United Kingdom, died on 27 June 1920 in Mayfield, New South Wales, Australia at age 86, and was buried on 28 June 1920 in Church of England Cemetery, Sandgate, New South Wales, Australia.

    Death.
    Mrs R. Southon, an old and respected resident of Singleton, died at her residence near Howe Park on Saturday last, after an illness which the deceased had born with Christian resignation. The late Mrs Southon leaves a husband and grown up family to deplore their loss. The remains of the deceased were interned in the Catholic Cemetery yesterday afternoon, the funeral being attended by sorrowing relatives and old friends.

    In the Roman Catholic cemetery on Monday the remains of Mrs. R. Southon, an old and much respected resident of Singleton, were interred.
    Deceased, who was 69 years of age, is survived by a husband and a grown-up family. The Messrs. Southon Brothers, the well-known building contractors of the Newcastle district, and Mr. Arthur Southon, of Singleton, are sons of the deceased.
