Biography

Martin P. Ryan was born in the state of New York on 11 Jan 1858.[1] He was the fourth child of Daniel Ryan and Jane Fynes. His siblings were: Edward, Mary (Mrs. William Cordick), Bridget, Julia, Daniel (husband of Susan White), Catharine (Mrs. Anthony Hance), Jane/Jennie (Mrs. Patrick Downs), John J., Matthew E. (husband of Alice Hodges), William, Rose (Sister M. Scholastica), Winifred (Mrs. Michael K. Ryan).

Martin married Mary Ella Roberts in Clintonville NY on 17 Oct 1886.[2] They had three children together, but only their son Daniel survived past childhood. Martin's wife Mary died in 1895.

Two years later, 40 year-old Martin married 41 year-old Mary Stewart on 21 Sep 1897.[3] Mary Stewart outlived Martin.

Martin was a farmer.[4]

Martin died on 22 Feb 1922 and was buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Keeseville NY.[5] He left a will that bequeathed his property to his wife Mary and his son Daniel.[6]
