Probably born in or around Petersburg, NY. Sabin is an early name in that area.

Benjamin, son of William and Mary {Mosher} Scriven, married Temperance Sabin (sister of Matthias' wife). They had many children, [including] Julian and Benjamin Henry. ^[1]
