Biography

William was born in 1808.

William received his "Masters Certificate of Service" in the British Merchant Service. Born Hartly 22 Dec 1808. Employed as Master for 5 years in the foreign service. Issued Port of South Shields 27 Jan 1851. (I have a copy of this certificate on file, March 2016) He signed his name as William Sibiston.

William and Elizabeth were married in Earsdon, Northumberland on the 23rd January 1832[1]

He passed away before 1861. He was not found in the 1861 census or later. I suspect he died off shore while working on a merchant ship
