HI Michael, Thank you for working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. Thanks so much for helping improve Wikitree! If you have any questions, just let me know.

Welcome to the Connectors Project! Be sure to check out the Connectors project page to see some of what we do, our To-Do lists which have folks who need connected to our Global Tree, and please add the connectors tag to your G2G feed. We've also got a great sub-project, Connectors Chat, where we talk about what we're working on and where we'd like to help out. Thanks for joining us!

Hi Michael, A few weeks ago, I requested to be added to the Trusted Lists for my grandparents (Herman Sackett & Celinda Greene), but am still waiting for your response. Should I go ahead and create duplicates that we can merge at a later date? Warren

Say the word, I'll put you on Sackett-128's trusted list, you can bring him up to date. I'm not family.

Welcome to the Mayflower Project, Michael. The tag for g2g is MAYFLOWER>. Please add it to your list of followed tags and use it when ou post in g2g about Mayflower people.
Hi Michael

I noticed you posted a message on Bridget (Pamer) Palmer's profile.

Bridget's profile has no profile manager, so you can adopt it. As the profile manager you can correct the Last Name at Birth.

Happy WikiTreeing

Hi Michael

I see a new GEDCOM badge. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

Help pages give lots of info about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

If you have brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. WikiTree has one profile for each person, so the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old).

Discussions tagged as GEDCOM in the G2G forum and brickwall.
