1824: It is not known whether the following applies: Public Ledger and Daily Advertiser - Saturday 18 September 1824, BNA, Mary Messiter was charged and imprisoned for 6 months as being guilty of using a forged coin in a pub in Marylebone, London on 11 August. It seems she may have been in company with Margaret Barry who was charged and convicted of the same offence.
