Rosamond was born to Alan V. Salazar and Rosalia T. Salazar in Malaybalay, Bukidnon in the southern island of the Mindanao. She is the sixth in a brood of seven.

The family moved around much due to Alan's work with Philippine National Bank so Rosamond spent considerable time in the Malaybalay, a cool, mountainous area with early morning fog, then a few years in scenic bayside city of Gingoog, further spending a couple of years in Cagayan de Oro before the family finally settle in Davao City.

She finishes elementary education in Ateneo de Davao University and completes secondary education in the Immaculate Conception College ran by the Religious of the Virgin Mary. She takes up Fine Arts in the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, graduating with a degree in Interior Design in 1990 with a flat 1.0 thesis titled "The Mindanao Cultural Center". Afterwards, she works for several interior design and architectural outfits before setting up Design Gallery - a design boutique for interior, illustration and graphic design.

In 1994, she worked for Days Inn Philippines as senior designer, then tries something fresh with Wise & Company in marketing, prior to working as Product Manager for Dulux - ICI Paints Philippines before she returns to the more laid back pacing of creative design in 1998.

She married Alfredo Regino Alejar whom she met in 1994 while they both worked for Wise & Company, at a ceremony at St. Joseph's Parish in Hongkong in March 1999. Together they raised Raina Alessandra Alejar and Remond Thaddeau Alejar in Pasig City for five years prior to relocating to Davao City.

In 2005, Rosamond studies nursing, a long-buried childhood dream, and just recently passed her Nursing Licensure Exam.

She's now engrossed in documenting her family tree in collaboration with her father, Alan Salazar, while on the side running the Alfresco Rosa Cafe and handling operations for Design Gallery which has further ventured into the property development with the Golden Shores Retirement Community in Samal Island.

Hi Rosamond. I just happened to see your name somewhere on the net and it just popped in my mind that I think we were classmates on 2nd grade at Gingoog City. I remembered you lived by the house beside old PNB(new bldg is along the highway now). You have a brother who's also student of my mom (teaching 4th grade in the same school). And I also remembered, we went one time to your house with Gemma Bollozos or Ingrid Zabala ( I don't know if you still remember them , that's a long tome ago ) and you gave me a used tennis ball which in my recollection, you have plenty of them placed on your stairway. Anyway, we have the same profession..nurses. I live presently in North Carolina. I hope you still have some recollection of us.

Hi Rosamond. We enabled completely anonymous posts on these bulletin boards. That's been good for encouraging some people to participate without scaring them away with the need to register.
