Biography

Samuel Salter was born in 1813 in Farleigh Hungerford, Somerset, England, United Kingdom. His parents were William Salter and Sarah Miell. Samuel was baptised on 29 December 1813 in Farleigh Hungerford, Somerset, England.[1]

Samuel married Harriet Pike on 11 March 1844 in Hinton Charterhouse, Somerset, England.[2] Together they had 8 children:

  5. Thomas Salter
  6. Mary Salter
  7. Elizabeth Salter
  8. Frank Salter

During the 1861 England census Samuel was living with his wife, 8 children and 2 servants at their home on Farleigh Plain Farms in Charterhouse Hinton, Somerset, England.[3]

Samuel died on 1 July 1882 at Farleigh Plain Farms in Somerset, England and his estate passed probate on 4 September 1882 in Bristol.[4]
