Laurel (Salton) Clark is Notable.

Laurel Blair Salton, daughter of Robert Salton & Marjory Blair Haviland, was born 10 Mar 1961 in Ames Iowa. She married to Jonathan B. Clark and had a son, Iain. She was an Astronaut with membership in the Society of U.S. Naval Flight surgeons, a Submarine Medical Officer and a Flight Surgeon with membership in the Aerospace Medical Association. Commander Laurel Blair Salton, M.D., USN, was a victim of the Columbia Space Shuttle STS-107 explosion on 1 Feb 2003. ^[2]

Laurel's First Cousin, Timothy Aaron Haviland, died in the World Trade Centers on 9/11.

She held a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued Technician Class amateur radio license with the call sign KC5ZSU.
