Biography

Charles Salyer Jr. was born on 23 Dec 1697 in Piscataway, Middlesex, New Jersey[1], son of Charles (Sallier) Salyer Sr (1672 - 1747) and Mary (Jones) Salyer (~1670 - 1700).

Charles (~20) married Rebecca Bloomfield (~32) (born in Woodbridge, Middlesex on 7 Jun 1686; died in Woodbridge on 25 Dec 1770), daughter of Ezekiel Bloomfield and Hope FitzRandolph, in 1718 in Woodbridge.

Charles's other children were:

  1. Joseph Salyer (1719 - 1790)
  2. Joanna Salyer (1724 - 1790)
  3. Samuel Salyer (1726 - 1800)
  4. Zachariah Benjamin Salyer Sr (~1730 - ~1789)
  5. Jeremiah Salyer (1732 - 1795).

Charles died about 1 Aug 1757 in Woodbridge aged 59.[2]

NOTE: "The Salyer Family" says Charles may have been born 1670 and be the child of William Salyer and Sarah Davis.
