There is no documentation to support ANY name for the wife of Teague Jones, much less that she was of Native American origin. If you have a source for the existence of this person, please add it to this profile, otherwise, she should be detached as spouse of Teague Jones.

I have seen her listed as the daughter of samoset the chief of the abaneki tribe (brother of the chief of the Massasoit tribe, ousemequin, their father was wasanegin, chief of the pokenot and sachem tribes and chief of the entire wampanoag) and margaret amatachee in other genealogy websites. Is this information not correct?

Shouldn't she also be disconnected as a mother?

Just to be clear ... Ruhamah [N] [H] having obtained mercy, a symbolical name given to the daughter of ( Hosea 2:1 ).

https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/ruhamah/

... this is not some strange native name.

There were hundreds of Ruhamahs in England.

Strange name for a Native American to have.

Maggie, Europeans back then, might NOT have listed a non-white partner...anywhere...in fear that their Children would not be granted full Human Rights (as only White people were seen as fully human..hence Slavery). Teague, wanting to save his wife and children (and Grandchildren) from being labels as Savages, may have been the Best gift he ever gave them, for the times. We cannot think like 2019 People...we have to think like they did...if we ever hope to discover the truth.

Remove Ruhamah as a wife of Teague Jones. No sources. His wife is consistently listed as "Unknown" in all his sources. Added to Disproven Existence project.
