Biography

James Samson was baptised at Campton, Bedfordshire on 20 June 1574.[1][2] James' parents are not listed on the baptism record, however, John Sampson of Campton "is the only father shown to have been having children baptized at Campton in the proper period" and is the probable father of Laurence.[2]

James married Martha Cowper on 20 May 1599 at Henlow Bedfordshire.[3] They baptised ten children at Henlow - Henry 1604, Joseph 1605, Mary 1607, Dorothy 1609, Humphrey 1611, Elizabeth 1612, James 1613, Mirioll 1614, John 1616, Mary 1618.

He was buried at Henlow Bedfordshire on 2 February 1638/9.[4]

If no parents were named in the baptism register, then how do we know who his parents were?
