Henry Samson was born 4 Aug 1724 in Duxbury, son of Abraham Samson III and wife Penelope.
[1][2][3][4]
He married Joanna Samson [her maiden name], 11 May 1749 in Duxbury. No children of the marriage are known.

Probate
Henry wrote a will on 26 Apr 1768 and it was proved on 1 November 1787 in Plymouth. It can be assumed that he died sometime between 1768 and when his inventory was taken on 1 August 1787.
[6] He mentions only his wife Joanna. His inventory was taken on 1 August 1787 in Duxbury. His estate was represented as insolvent.[7][8]
In 1787, his widow Joanna refused the executorship.[9]
In 1788, a list of claims and creditors was recorded.[10]
Research Notes
There is room for argument regarding the choice of Samson or Sampson as the surname. The Samson Kindred site uses the spelling Sampson.[6] The General Society of Mayflower Descendants uses the Samson spelling.[2] The published Vital Records of Duxbury lists his birth record under the name Samson, but notes that there is a duplicate with the Sampson spelling.[4] Weighing all of this, the scales tip ever so slightly in the direction of Samson.
