The will of Simeon Samson of Plympton, Esqr., was dated 14 March 1787 and proved 3 August 1789 on in Plymouth. He mentioned his wife Deborah (executor), and his children, Lydia Cushing Goodwin, Deborah Samson, Mercy Samson, Marie Samson, and George Washington Samson.[8]
His inventory was taken on 17 September 1789 in Plympton. In 1796, an account of his estate by his widow Deborah was recorded which included funeral charges, gravestones, debts paid, legacies paid, and administration fees. [9] Another account of his estate included the sale of a wood lot, building an addition to a barn, debts paid, surveying, and administration fees.[10]
