Hi Suzette

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. Everything on WikiTree is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code. This is what keeps WikiTree a friendly and helpful community. We have many friendly members, feel free to ask if you have any questions. http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code as well as the g2g forum

After coming to the realisation that my husband had an extensive family history on both his Mother's and Father's side, and I knew next to nothing about mine, I decided it was time to leave something for my sons.

Hence as a 61 year old and not having a clue where to start, I had an incredible stroke of luck. My father's sister had married an Aussie soldier after the war and moved to Melbourne. When she passed and he later remarried, then subsequently passed away himself, his second wife contacted me and we struck up a relationship. She turned out to be a genealogist, put some notices up on my behalf and so the journey began.

While I'm strictly a beginner and still floundering, the mysteries are unravelling!

With the help I've received I feel an obligation to share with others.
