Hi

Opps, or even oh bugger Good research on your part, I never found the marraige record, still had trouble finding it given spelling variations. Nor did I spot that there were two Joseph's of the same age both born in St Neot. Fixed except for Thomas's wife. Rather embarressingly, Thomas is my 3rd great grandmother's brother [Hannah Mallett]. Thanks for finding my mistake, and bringing it to my attention, and please add to, or edit these profiles.

Hi

About the various Rosevear profiles in your message: John b 1652 married Ann unknown Henry b 1686 married Jane unknown Elizabeth Marke was the daughter of John Marke and Elizabeth unknown, from baptism of daughter,

As regards all women with last name recorded as unknown, I cannot find a record of their last name at birth, Ann and Jane's last names are not on their marraige records, which actually appear to record an existing marraige. I cannot find any record of john and Elizabeth's marraige. Unless someone can give you a source, the last names you have cannot be relied on. Either profiles can be created with their last name at birth as unknown, and birth date as an estimate, or their details included on their husbands profile as a research note. If a profile is created a note about the lack of source information should be included in the bio. John, Henry and all the others you name are already in Wikitree.

The Rosevear family history may have more info, but I do not have a copy.

I looked at all the sources I have access to, and found no more info.

Thanks - the Wikitree team replied and hopefully I can now access all my data and 'edit' various record.

Somehow changing over to a new computer 'lost' some information but all is good again! Many thanks. Beverly

Hi Beverly, I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! This certification requires participation in a project related to the profiles you wish to edit. Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Also, check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know! I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders. Welcome aboard!

Hi, Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you will run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Sandy ~ WikiTree Mentor

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to great information about GEDCompare, the process of adding a GEDCOM to WikiTree, that you might find helpful.

If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

 Hi Beverly!

Welcome as a guest to WikiTree! We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE collaborative profile for every person.

A couple suggestions to get you started:

1. Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum .

2. Our help pages, top right, have all sorts of useful information.

If you would like to contribute, click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile to let our greeters know. You should include a little bit about how you plan to contribute to the tree.

Good luck growing your branches, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree :)

Lee, Wikitree Greeter  :)
