Richard Douglas Nicholas Sanders was born on 15 March 1917, his father, Alfred, was 43 and his mother, Nellie, was 37. He married Isabelle Louise de Warrenne (Toffee) Waller on 8 March 1946 in Hove, Sussex. They had two children during their marriage. He died on 11 March 1979 at the age of 61. Born 11 Prince of Wales Terrace, Kensington, London.
