Annie Lucinda Manning was the daughter of Jim L. and Georgeann Shelton Sandlin.

Her first husband was Sam C. Fowler.

The following information is from her obituary in the Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum, Thursday, July 4, 1974:

Annie Lou Manning was married to James Madison Manning who preceded her in death on 3-7-1959.

She was a member of the Star Church of Christ.

Among her survivors are daughters Mrs. Gilbert (Nelda) Jeske of Star and Mrs. Herman (Dorothy) Anderson of Temple; stepchildren Mrs. Verna Edwards and Travis Manning of Killeen and Arnold Manning of Copperas Cove; and a sister Mrs. Frank Robinson of Dublin.
