From the Daily Mountain Eagle 3 November 2004 Mack Sandlin, 73, of Carbon Hill died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in the Collins-Burke Chapel in Jasper with burial in the McDade Cemetery in Carbon Hill. Bro. Jones will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper will direct.

Mr. Sandlin was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sandlin; mother, Etta Sandlin; father, Vernon Sandlin; and brother, Daniel Sandlin.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna Rodgers and her husband, Allan; two sons, Johnny Sandlin and his wife, Christie, and David Sandlin and his wife, Marissa; three sisters, Linda Key, Faye Dean Tucker and Sally Casterberry; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
