Biography
Most descendants and family genealogies agree that her maiden name was Sanford. More research is required to find her parents, no doubt in the Boston, Massachusetts Bay, area. Born in 1670, in the Massachusetts Bay Colony, she married Deacon Thomas Sanford, the well-known son of the Pastor of the First Congregational Church of Boston. They had 6 daughters and 1 son, John Sanford. Their daughter Bathsheba was a Connecticut pioneer and great, great grandmother of US Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes.
