Edward was born 16 Mar 1799 and died 13 Jul 1849. He was the son of David Sanford and Hannah Thompson.[1][2][3]
He was a cabinet maker. He married Amanda Flint 2 Feb 1826. She was born 23 Aug 1800. Their children included Frances Eliza b. 17 Sep 1827, d. Oct 1829; France b. 30 Mar 1830 m. 24 Dec 1850 John E Bell; George Edward b. 29 Jul 1832, d. in the war, m. Elizabeth Classon; Washington Irving b. 25 Dec 1835, d. early; Frederick F. b. 6 Dec 1838, d. early.[4]
