Biography

Sarah was born in 1681. She is the daughter of Zachariah Sanford and Sarah Willet. She was married to Jonathan Bunce in 1700, and he died in 1717 (his inventory dated Jan. 6, 1717-8 totalled 426 pounds, 3 shillings). The widow, Sarah and Robert Sanford were granted administration of his estate. (Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut, p. 110) Sarah owned covenant at First Church, 8 Mar 1695/96. Received full communion First Church Hartford on 21 Jan 1724/25.
