Biography

Joseph Sargent aka Sargeant was born April 18, 1663 in Barnstable, Massachusetts the first child of John Sargent and Deborah Hillier also of Barnstable. ^[1] Joseph's father John Sargent inherited the Barnstable property from his father William Sargent (1602-1682).

In 1685 Joseph married Mary Green born Dec. 1668. She was the daughter of John Green who resided in Malden and Charlestown, Massachusetts. ^[1] Their children were all born at Malden:
