Nathan Sargent, son of Jonathan Sargent and Mary (Sprague) Sargent, was born on 27 Aug. 1718 at Malden, Middlesex, Province of Massachusetts.[1]

He married Mary Sargent, daughter of Joseph Sargent, on 24 June 1742 at Leicester, Massachusetts.[1][2]

Mary Sargent died on 28 May 1750 and he married Mary Denny, daughter of Daniel and Rebecca (Jones) Denny, on 12 Feb. 1751 at Leicester, Worcester, Massachusetts.[3][4][1]

"On the 19th of April (1775) the alarm reached Leicester of the advance of the British troops toward Concord. The company on their march to oppose them halted at Nathan Sargent's house. His wife (Mary), finding the members deficient in ammunition, hastily took the leaden weights from the clock, melted them into bullets, and distributed them among the men." [5]

Nathan died in 15 June 1799[1] at Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts and was buried at Rawson Brook Burial Ground Leicester, Worcester County, Massachusetts. His memorial has a photo of his headstone, biographical material and links to those of family members.[6]
