His father Moses wrote his will on April 15, 1755, which was approved on October 14, 1756. In it he left son Christopher 'buildings where he now dwells' and other real estate to be divided 'among my sons' Orlando and Christopher. On July 1, 1756, Moses added bequests to his previous last will and testament leaving his livestock to wife Sarah and son Christopher. [2]
He married Anna Sargent at Amesbury on June 12, 1759. Annat was born there on August 29, 1741, daughter of Robert Sargent and Anne Coffin at Amesbury, Massachusetts. [1]
Anna's father Robert Sargent wrote his will on October 13, 1797 and it was proved on March 10, 1808. In it he names, among his heirs, daughter Anne Sargent, wife of Christopher Sargent [3]
His inventory, valued at $12703.41, with real estate assessed at $7952.00 and personal estate at $4751.41 was submitted to the court on March 18, 1831, by Stephen Sargent Jr. Esquire, executor of the estate. [4]
On March 29, 1831, Jane Sargent widow, of Christopher Sargent Jr., petitioned the court to have the real estate of Christopher Sargent Sr. divided for the heirs to settle the estate, being:
Nicholas Sargent, Cyrus Sargent, Stephen Sargent 5th, Jane/Jenny Sargent Jr. , (wife of Moses Stickney), John Sargent and (Benjamin) Franklin Sargent, all children of Christopher Sargent Jr. [4]
