Discretion was born in 1749. She was the daughter of Henry Sater and Dorcas Towson. She passed away in 1823.

Thomas Walker, her husband, was born in Baltimore, but shortly after his marriage he became a farmer and finally moved to Westminister, Carroll County where he remained until his death in 1818.He left all his worldly possessions to his wife Discretion and she was made sole executrix.Among his possessions was his plantation and tract of land in the forks of Pato Falls, called Society Hills, another tract Zebulon's Fancy and still another Walker's Paradise, all adjoining in Baltimore County, Maryland . The Walker family has a distinguised record and is of English Origin. [1]
