Biography

Notes for Isaac SAUNDERS Note: On 23 Dec 1762 he bought some woodland in Hopkinton, RI.

The 1774 RI census for Charleston lists an Isaac SAUNDERS with"3 males above 16; 2 females above 16" That is consistent with the five persons documented here. Notes for Elizabeth (Spouse 1) Note: Elizabeth, born January 29, 1727, married Isaac Saunders, moved to Petersburg, New York. RIGR 4:2:139 -- she was living when her father wrote his will.

Edward Saunder's mentions son Isaac in his will[1].: Dated Aug. 6, 1731; proved Westerly Feb. 28, 1731/2 p. 10-11. Names wife Hannah; sons: Edward, William, James < 21 & Isaac who is to be bound to a trade; daughters: Sarah Cross, Abigail Saunders, Mary Saunders < 18 & Hannah Saunders < 18. Witnesses: John Larkin, Theodoty Vars & George Stillman. [2]
