Edward was the son of Amyas Sanders and his wife (her first name is not known but she was the daughter of Mr Austen of Tenterden Kent according to the Visitation of Kent taken 1619-1621).[1]
Edward married Anne Pendreth at Minster, Kent on 2 November 1573 [2] (Anne was the daughter of Miles Pendreth of Northborne in Kent).
According to the Visitation, Edward and Ann had at least five children:
Anne died in 1598 and on 25th June 1603 a marriage licence was issued for "Edward Saunder of Northbourne, gent., and Thomasine Lambinge, of Ewell, widow". They married on 4th July 1603 at St Peter and St Paul Temple Ewell in Kent.[3]
Edward died in October 1608 and was buried on 22 October 1608 at Minster in Kent[4].
"Edward Saunders the elder of Minster in Thanet" made his Will on 24th June 1608 [5] and probate was granted on 11th November 1608 and an inventory was taken [6]. In his Will Edward names -

He afterwards resided at Norborne court, having married Anne, daughter and coheir of Francis, son of Milo Pendrath of Norborne, by Elizabeth, one of the heirs of Thomas Lewin, and nurse to queen Elizabeth. His ancestors had resided for some generations at Chilton, in Ash, but were originally descended from Minster, in Thanet." There are a number of errors in this statement;

1. Whilst Edward Saunders-1290 and Anne Pandreth-1 did have a son called Edward, he was born in 1586 and baptised on 19th June 1586 at St Mary the Virgin, Minster in Kent and NOT 1595 in South Moulton in Devon, which is over 230+ miles away from Minster in Kent. See the Visitation of Kent 1619 here https://archive.org/details/visitationofkent00camd/page/76/mode/2up?q=sanders
2. The Edward Saunders-205, son of Edward and Anne, died at Minster, Kent in July 1636 and was buried at St Mary the Virgin, Minster. (source: Kent Burials – Find my Past). I would respectfully suggest that Edward Saunders-205 be disconnected from Parents – Saunders-1290 and Pandreth-1 and Siblings – Saunders-3420 and Saunders-9629
3. The Visitation of Kent 1619 also shows that Anne Pandreth, the mother of Edward Saunders-205, is of Northborne in Kent and not of Chilton in Berkshire. I would respectfully suggest that CHILTON has been copied from the information in the Visitation but without the additional address of Chilton ‘in the parish of St Lawrence Isle of Thanet’.
4. As noted on the profile of Edward Saunders-1290, (the father of Edward Saunders-205), the Visitation of Kent 1619 records the parents of Edward Saunders-1290 as Amyas Saunders ‘of Chilton’ and ‘[blank] the daughter of Mr Austen of Tenterden’, Kent and not John Saunders-10537 of Chilton Berkshire and Anna Berkeley-851. I would therefore suggest that Edward Saunders-1290 be disconnected from Parents – Saunders-10537 and Berkeley-851
