Biography

When Nathan Randall Saunders was born on 27 September 1820, in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia, to Henry Saunders and Sarah Randall. He married Abigail Ann Whitman on 19 February 1844, in Aylesford, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Married 19 Feb 1844, Nathan Henry SAUNDERS, born 1820, son of Henry and Sarah (RANDALL) SAUNDERS, AND, Abigail Ann WHITMAN, born 1825, daughter of John and Ann (HARRIS) WHITMAN. See source for five children. (History of the Descendants of John Whitman of Weymouth, Mass. (1889) by C.H. Farnam, page 667) Married 1844, Nathan R. SAUNDERS, born 1820, son of Rev. Henry and Sarah (RANDALL) SAUNDERS, AND, Abigail Ann WHITMAN, daughter of Asaph WHITMAN. Abigail died in 1855. Nathan married (2nd) Harriet McGREGOR. (The Genealogies of The Chute Family in America (1894), Randall Family, by Wm. E. Chute, page clxiii) (Something is wrong with her parents!)[1] They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 1 daughter. Nathan's wife, Abigail Whitman died at age 30, in 1855 leaving 5 children, aged 1 to 9. He married Harriet MacGregor Aug 2, 1857.

He lived in Wilmot, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada in 1871, with Harriet and William, and in 1881, with Harriet, Caroline,(28) William(21) and Burfill, (7) .

Nathan died on 26 July 1882, in Tremont, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the age of 61, and was buried in Tremont Cemetery, Tremont, Kings, Nova Scotia, Canada. [2]
