This must have been a very close family because after their father passed away 5 of his children and all 3 of their 1/2 siblings all moved to Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, or very close to it.
After Ezekiel's death (he died intestate), Jemima served as the Administrator of his estate until she remarried Benjamin Harris in 1833. The Harris' continued managing the estate until it was finally settled in 1839. The land and slaves formerly owned by Ezekiel were all sold at auction and the proceeds divided among his legatees.
Jemima and Benjamin Harris had 3 children of their own and moved to Barren County, Kentucky in 1839-1840.
They lived on Skeggs Creek. Jemima died there in 1858 and Benjamin moved to Pettis Co., Missouri before 1860, when he was recorded living there with his daughter Sarah Harris-Christmas and family.
By 1870 he was living with son Joseph and family and he died in Pettis County, Missouri in 1871.

OH my gosh.......... All the work I did and I thought was very legible, informative, and accurate...........all GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOTE: I personally like to see & read as much of the life as the Researchers can share with us. Not just an abbreviated version that doesn't tell us about their children, who they are, when/where they were born. I realize they are listed on the side but that does not keep the story going.
