Hannah Saunter was born about Jan 1826 in Salehurst, Sussex, England to John Saunter and Hannah Boots.

She married Royal Rufus Wood on 06 Mar 1842 in Constantia, Oswego, New York, USA.

They had four children together: William "Will" Wood 1844–1925 Jane Wood 1846–1925 Charles Wood 1847–1925 Lester Wood 1850–1928
