Biography

Jeanne Savoie was born on September 28, 1716 and baptized the next day in Annapolis Royal, Acadie, Colony of Nova Scotia. [1] Her parents were François Xavier Savoie and Marie Josèphe Richard.[2] Her godparents were Pierre Blanchard and Jeanne Gautrot, widow of Pierre Le Noue.

She married, according to the Register of Beaubassin on 20 Nov 1741 when she was 22 years (sic), Benoni Hebert, son of Jean Emmanuel Hébert and Marie Madeleine Dugas. [2][3] The witnesses were Jean Hébert, François Savoye fathers of the couple, Simon Savoye, Henry L'Hostellier, René Daigre, Michel Hébert and many others.
