« François Savoie was one of the heads of family of Chipoudy who came to Fort Beauséjour at the request of the English. This was only a ruse by which the English wanted to take these Acadian men prisoners. Afterwards, he found himself aboard the "Prince Frederick" destined for exile in Georgia. He was deported alone, his wife and children remained at Chipoudy. Resolved to rejoin his family, in 1756 he succeeded in reaching New York in a group of exiles trying to return to Acadia. But they were not allowed to go further because the English arrested them. He was then detained at Eastchester, and is on a list dated 26 Aug 1756. He died before the marriage of his son Simon on 9 Aug 1762. Evidently, he was never reunited with his family.
Meanwhile, Marguerite Thibodeau and her children moved to Île Saint-Jean, from where they went to Quebec, arriving in the capital of New France in the late summer of 1756. Tragically, shortly after her arrival, Marguerite Thibodeau lost the two youngest of his children, a four year old boy and a girl who was only four months old.
A few years later, we find Marguerite and her four surviving children in Rivière-du-Loup (now Louiseville), where exhausted no doubt by the trials of the Dispersion, Marguerite passed away in March 1765, at the age of forty-six.

There are no indications by Stephen White DGFA p. 1460, Karen Theriot Reader or PRDH that his man emigrated to Louisiana. According to Stephen White, he died before 9 August 1762, no location given. The date of death 3 December 1780 in Louisiana seems to belong to another François Savoie who was married to Anne Thibodeau. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Savoie-262
Savoie-639 and Savoie-162 appear to represent the same person because: The birth dates are way off but linked to same parents. So far as I could determine, there was only one child named Francois born to the parents.
