Enoch Sawtell was born on July 26, 1643 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony, son of Richard Sawtell (~1610–1694) and Elizabeth Unknown (~1615–1694).
Enoch married Susanna Randall (born about 1666 in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay). Their known son was Richard Sawtell (1689–1760).
Enoch died on March 1, 1741 in Watertown, Middlesex, aged 97.

"Enoch2 Sawtell (Richard1) was born probably about 1656 at Watertown. He married Susanna Randall, daughter of John, probably about 1686-7 (Bond, p. 932). She owned the covenant at Watertown 2 Oct 1687, the same day their first child was baptized. He was impressed in December of 1675 o serve from Watertown in King Philip's War (Bodget, p 171). He was a weaver and resided in Watertown (Bond, p 425). His will dated 12 Nov. 1737:
"I Enoch Sawtele of Watertown, being aged and weak in Body but of perfect mind and memory...to my daughter Elizabeth Harrington thirty pounds, and in cae she hath a child & or children... I give to her or her heirs 20 pounds more... to my daughter Mary Sawtle who now dwells with me (being a single woman)... a comfortable room in my tenement and the use and profit of one cow and the use of a horse when she stands in need thereof and the use of my old orchard, my only son Richard Sawtle to maintain said cow and provide her a horse and comfortable house room and all above mentioned to continue during the time of her remaining a single woman." (Middlesex County Probate, No. 19956).
"He left all his housing and lands to son Richard. Enoch Sawtell died 1 March 1741/2 at Watertown.
"Children, all born at Watertown (Bond, p 425):
Susanna, bapp 2 Oct 1687; d.y.
Richard, bap. 28 April 1689.
Mary, b 1691-6; d 13 April 1696, Watertown (Vital Records).
Elizabeth, bap. 8 Oct. 1699; mar. ---- Harrington, per her father's will; no children by 1737. Perhaps she was a second wife of Joseph Harrington (Daniel2, Robert1 whose daughter Sarah, b 25 Jul 1723 at Watertown (Vital Records) mar. Henry Sawtell, nephew of this Elizabeth.
Mary, bapt 6 Oct 1700; unmar. in 1737; resided with her father, probably with her brother after father's death"
