Notes

  1. DOB est from Lewis, 2014.[1]
    b. Calais.[citation needed] -- This is seen in some web family trees but it appears to be pure speculation. Note that her bros. William and John were "Merchant Staplers of Northampton and Calais," ... e.g. they were local creditors for Northampton and supplied wool to Calais.
see changes for merge conflicts: Saxby-1: b1475 in Calais; Saxby-29 b1498 Standon, Hertfordshire, died 1556 in Northamptonshire. Assume these dates based a age of daughter Dorothy. However she married in 1495 so those suggested on Saxby-1 were more appropriate; Saxby-127: born abt July 1480 in Calais
Other notes- Believed to have been aged 55-56 at. Death.
  2. jhigg (2008, October 16). RE: Samwell half-siblings. soc.genealogy.medieval. Google Groups. -- notes that Nichols' pedigree calls Thos, "John".
Lewis (2014), citing works by Douglas Richardson, also calls Margaret's father, "John."
  3. 3.0 3.1 Waters, 1878, p. 77.[2]
  4. ancestor of Caves of Bagrave, Leicester, (Waters, 1878, p. 78).[3]
