Edward Scarboroigh was born in about 1660 in Surry, Virginia, British Colonial America.
Edward died about 1716, for on March 20, 1716, Daniel Duggard was appointed administrator of his estate. His surities were: Nicholas Cooke, Richard Lewis, and Nicholas David. (BK 7-52) On the 18th of March 1718/19 the estate paid Mr. Cocke, Mr. John Simmons and Ann Scarborough (probably his wife.) Cash was paid to Grace Lucas and DAUGHTER DUGGARD (evidently the who of Daniel Duggard the administrator). (Id.253) Excerpt from page 210
Children:
I. Edward appeared in the Surry Court on March 20, 1716/17; on after his father's death and chose Richard Lewis. his legal guardian. (0.B.1713-18, p. 10) He evidently died in 1742, for on Jan. 55. 1742/43 the County Court ordered the Church Warden to bind out the children of Edward Scarborough according to law. On the following February the Sheriff was directed to sell his estate at Public Auction.
II. William bought land in Isle of Wight where he died in 1736. His Will was dated Nov. 9, 1735, probated Sept. 28. 1736. masons were: WILLIAM. JOHN, THOMAS, EDWARD, DAVID (see later). SAMUEL: daughters JANE and SARAH: wife SARAH and son William executors. Wits: Robert Ricks, William Wood. Richard Bryant and John Wood. (BK 4. p. 140.)
III. Daughter, name unknown, m. Daniel Duggard.
