Also because of his war service he received the Patent on Lots 33 1\2 E,
Consession 1 , and Consession 4, 1/2 of Lots at Matilda Township, in January
1879, as a Free Grant under order in Council ( Ontario Archives Microfilm Index Land Grants). The Patents for these lots are dated September 1, 1797.
