Garret Roelfse Schenck Birth 25 May 1719 Brooklyn, Kings County (Brooklyn), New York Death 5 Jul 1794 (aged 75) Annandale, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, Married on Dec 23 1747 Marytje Cornelise Van Sicklen. Burial: Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Ringoes, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.[2]
Garret served with the rank of Lieutenant, 3rd Regiment, Hunterdon County, New Jersey in the American Revolution. He married three times: Mary Van Sicklen, Mary Van Meter, Anne Ten Eyck. A son Jacob married Mary Eleanor Van Mater or Van Marten. [3]

Son, Jacob, negro man, Moses, and negro wench, Sal ; also westerly part of home plantation on road leading from the Dutch to the Old Presbyterian meeting house by lands formerly of Cornelius Quick, between farms of Abraham Williamson and Peter Prall, together with residue of real. Son, Abraham, £50, negro boy, Sam, and girl, Judith; also £70 (payable by sons Jacob and William). Son, William, other 1/2 of home plantation, of lands purchased of Abraham Williamson and $42 of woodlot in Hopewell Twsp. Daughter, Anne (wife of Adam Bellis), £40 (payable by son, Jacob), and negro girl, Patt. Daughter, Mary (wife of John Quick), £40 (payable by son, William) and negro girl, Bett. Grandsons, Peter and Ralph Quick (sons of daughter, Lenah), £60 from sale of negro wench, Patt, daughter of Dinah (payable by son-in-law, Cornelius Quick, their father) ; also, each £25 (payable by son William), when 21. Residue to be divided between the 5 sons. Brother, Ralph Schenck, and friends, Paul Kuhl and John Lequear, to advise if there be any dispute in settlement. Exes: sons, John, Ralph and Jacob. Wits.
