Marten Roelofse Schenck was b. 22 Jan 1661 Flatlands, NY. He is the son of Roelof Martense Schenck and Neeltje van Couwenhoven. Martin married 3 times: first to Susanna Brinkerhoff, married June 13, 1686 in Brooklyn, Kings Co., Long Island, NY Colony; 2nd to Elizabeth Minne (van Voorhees), married 11 APR 1693; 3rd to Jannetje Voorhees, married 24 JUN 1704. Will, Abstract of

  • Marten's will, dated 28 April 1727, proved 9 September 1728. Named wife Jannetje to have all estate house, barns, land lying in Kings Co, NY, until she should re-marry and after her decease, then the estate is to be divided equally between his children. He gives Abraham, Marten and Lucas all that land lying in Cranberry Brook to be shared between the three of them. To son Johannes 200 pounds to be paid to him by sons Roelof and Minne when Johannes is of age, if Johannes should die before coming of age then the money to be shared by all children. He appointed sons Abraham and Roelof as exes. Refer two page will att images.[12]

I found the church record for the 1686 marriage in Flatbush Records. Note the date is 13 June not 20th
